Yab 0.26
Tab cards that say what is going on, chat tabs that say they are answering, Arc's address menu, and safer downloads.
Added
Tab cards
A tab's card says what is going on in it now, with one button: a draft not sent, a call, a page not responding, a failing pull request, a video playing, a heavy tab to put to sleep.
Chat tabs answer
A tab with Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity, v0, Lovable or Bolt at work wears a small ring at its corner, and a blue dot once the answer is in and not yet read.
Promises
What you said you'd do and what you were promised come together in one Now row on its day.
Linear mentions
Linear's My Issues gets a second list: unread mentions of you and new comments on your issues.
Address menu
As in Arc, the address has a menu: Copy URL, Share, Capture, Show as Address Bar or Show in Sidebar.
Extension commands
Settings › Shortcuts gives each extension's commands a group of their own, with an alias, a hotkey and a checkbox, as in Raycast.
Pictures in chat
⌘V of a screenshot, a copied photo or an iPhone's HEIC puts it in the chat's field as a file, and so does a picture dragged off a page.
Send Now
A queued message has Send Now: the turn going on stops and it goes next.
Sheets in ⌘J
⌘J on a Google Sheet reads every tab of it, not only the few words on screen.
Mute a site
Mute youtube.com under Mute Tab mutes every tab of the site in the space and every one opened later, as in Dia.
Folder from tabs
⌃⌘N makes a folder of the picked tabs, as Finder's New Folder with Selection.
Copy links
A folder's menu has Copy N Links and Copy N Markdown Links, as in Arc.
Back in a new tab
⌘-click or a middle click on Back, Forward, Reload or a row of their list opens that page in a new tab, as in Chrome.
F12
F12 opens and closes Developer Tools, and an F key alone can be a shortcut.
Dock menu
Yab's Dock menu has New Window for each space.
Keep on Top
The floating video's right-click menu has Keep on Top, to put it among the other windows.
Calendars
Every Google calendar comes in, and an empty calendar pin offers Connect.
Improved
Chats
A chat flies out of its card and back as on iPhone, always opens at its foot, the chats button is the clock again, and the first Back goes into its card.
Chat column
The column's glass shows a little under the head and the search, as the tabs' column does.
Now
Each Now row ends in a status word, Hand to the agent is there, the corner icons are the real ones, and Show All in Now says what it opens.
Agent tasks
An agent's task says which space it was asked from.
Extension icons
Square extension icons get an app icon's round corners, and a pinned extension's tip shows a short name and its key.
Corner toast
The corner toast wears the space's deep color.
Live folders
A live folder's preview stays quiet while it is fresh.
Answers about a page
⌘J answers about a page sooner: its words are read as ⌘J comes up and go along with the question.
Selections in frames
⌘J, Search and ⌘C read a selection inside another site's frame or a shadow root.
Reloads ask
When a blocker switch, a userscript or a plugin needs a page reloaded and something is typed there, Yab asks first, as Dia does.
Clicks find their tab
A click on an agent's notification or on Picture in Picture finds its tab in any space or window.
Site icons
Site icons take less memory, and icons of sites not visited in 90 days are let go.
Changed
Downloads
Downloaded files are quarantined, so macOS checks them before they open, and a download a site starts by itself asks first.
Page dialogs
From a page's second alert, the card offers Don't show more from this page.
Fixed
Full screen video
In full screen, a click on another display no longer floats the video into Picture in Picture.
Freezes
Yab no longer freezes for up to 10 seconds when a copy comes in from another device over Universal Clipboard.
Small window
A link in a small window no longer shows a smaller page first.
Chat clock
No focus ring stands around the chat clock when a chat comes in.
Sleep
An extension that kept the Mac awake lets it sleep once it is turned off, removed or quit.
Work count
The count of an answer's steps is never red; a failed step shows only in its popover.
