Yab 0.28
Folders from ⌘-clicks, New Tab in Folder, ⌘T across spaces, and editing your own chat messages.
Added
Folders from links
A ⌘-click or middle click puts the page and its link in a folder, named for what is in it by the AI you connected (or Apple Intelligence without one), as Dia's auto groups do; off in Settings › Tabs.
New Tab in Folder
⌥⌘T in a folder's tab, or New Tab in Folder in its menu, opens the field over the page and puts the new tab at the folder's end, as in Dia.
Folders to other spaces
As in Arc, a folder's menu has Move to Space, and a folder dragged onto a space at the column's foot goes there too: whole, with the folders in it, kept or today's as it was. New Space… takes it into a space of its own. ⌘Z brings it back.
Bookmark into a folder
After ⇧⌘B, "Bookmarked" in the corner offers Move To, with every bookmarks folder.
Edit a message
Your message's right-click menu has Edit: its words go back in the field, and sending carries the chat on from there.
Spaces as dots
Show Spaces as Dots in a space's menu, or Settings › Appearance › Spaces, shows the spaces as dots, as Dia does.
Small window
⌘F finds on the small window's page and ⌘P prints it, as in a tab.
Space icons
A space can wear an icon instead of an emoji: Change Icon… has Arc's 56 symbols beside the emoji.
Math in answers
Answers set math as math, fractions, roots and matrices drawn natively, and a link in them wears its site's icon, as Dia's answers do.
Bookmarks in ⌘T
⌘T and ⌘L offer your bookmarks among their places, as Chrome and Safari do.
Improved
⌘T across spaces
⌘T finds tabs in your other spaces too, as Arc's Command Bar does, and taking one brings its space.
⌃Tab
⌃Tab shows the five tabs last looked at in one row of pictures in the middle of the window, as in Arc.
Picture in Picture
A video out in its window stays out when you switch spaces, as in Arc.
Bookmarks bar clicks
⌘-click or the middle button opens a bookmark in a new tab behind, ⇧⌘ in front, and on a folder opens all of it, as in Chrome.
Do It from Now
A Now row handed to the agent runs in its own chat, which opens with the row as a card.
Renamed tabs
Tabs you renamed in Arc or Dia come in under their names.
Reload and Stop
Reload and Stop swap as quickly as Arc's.
Meeting card
With Yab not in front, a meeting's card floats over the screen you are on, above other apps, as in Dia.
Quiet chat
Nothing sits under or beside a message: Copy, Ask Again and Repeat are in its right-click menu, and the time shows only over a turn after a pause.
Files that can't go
A file moved, deleted or over 20 MB is said by name over the chat's field, with Ask Without It.
Chrome bookmarks
Importing from Chrome brings the Google account's bookmarks too.
Background tabs
A tab a link opens behind the one on screen scrolls into the sidebar's sight, as in Arc.
All calendars
A Google account connected before 0.0.26 can show every calendar too: Show All Calendars on its row in Settings › Mail.
Agent chats
Yab's own chats no longer pile up in Claude and Codex: each is archived after its answer.
Empty card
The empty card shows the desktop through it again, blurred under the space's look, and in light it is mostly white, as in Arc.
Fixed
Tab to window
A tab let go over nothing grows into its new window again, rather than jumping in.
Sync
A tab moved to another space on your other Mac leaves the space it was in here too.
Download previews
A kept download shows a gray square while its preview draws, not its file kind's icon first.
Split View
With the sidebar put away, resting on a half's Back no longer brings the sidebar out over it.
