Yab 0.0.19
Rows as roomy as Arc's, spaces at the column's foot, pinned addresses, glass in Look, and Live Folders in Settings.
Added
Density
Settings › Appearance › Density: Comfortable, with Arc's sizes, or Compact, with Yab's earlier ones. Rows, pins and the address change together.
Spaces at the foot
The column's foot shows your spaces as Arc's does: each one its emoji, the one on screen in color, dots when the column is narrow, and a plus in the corner for a new space, folder, boost, split view or tab.
Measure as a dock
Measure in Developer mode keeps the page to boxes and numbers and puts its words in a dock: padding, margins and gaps where they are, text too close to an edge marked red, ⌥ for the space inside a box, and a design's picture laid over the page.
Live Folders in Settings
Settings › Live Folders turns them on, suggests sources from sites you open often, adds a folder in one click, and gives each folder a page of its own with its repositories, Update Now and Stop Updating.
Chapters on a floating video
A floating video's bar snaps to a chapter's start when you click or drag near it, and names the chapter. A spinner shows when the video waits on the network, and "Slow connection" after a while.
Pinned addresses
Pinned and kept tabs remember the page they were pinned on, as in Arc: once you browse away, the row shows a slash and the page you're on, and a click on its icon takes you back. Edit Pinned Page in its menu makes the current page its address, or lets you type one.
Glass in Look
On macOS 26, a space's transparency ends in a bead of Liquid Glass: pull past the end and the window frame turns to glass tinted with the space's color.
Labels' menu
A right click on a label in mail's column offers Mark All as Read, Rename, New Label Inside, Move To, Make a Split of its senders, Hide and Delete, as a folder's does.
Live Folders by asking
An agent can set up Live Folders as Settings does: turn them on, add a source, follow a repository, rename a folder or update it now. Adding one asks first in Ask mode.
Recent pull requests
A followed repository's folder brings pull requests active in the last week, and its page picks Active Today, This Week, This Month or All Open.
Improved
Rows as Arc's
Rows in the column are 36 points tall with a 16-point icon, as in Arc. Density › Compact keeps the old ones.
Thin scroll bar
The column's scroll bar is a thin thread, as Arc's, with no gray track even with a mouse plugged in, and goes once the rows stop.
Foot of the column
Rows going under the column's foot fade only at its very bottom, and an update's note there reads over them.
Translation in context
Translating a page translates each paragraph whole, so links and bold words inside it read right.
An agent's dock
An agent attached through yab mcp shows its dock on a tab only while it works there, and a click of yours no longer takes over from an agent that went quiet.
Tabs kept through a restart
A tab an agent handed you stays after macOS restarts Yab, as when you grant Full Disk Access for a texted code.
Switching spaces
With many tabs, switching spaces starts sliding at once instead of after a pause.
New windows
A new window opens on the screen of the window it came from, a step right of and below it, as macOS does.
Tabs out of a full window
A tab dragged to the edge of a window that fills its screen comes out into a window of its own.
Shortcuts in ⌘T
The chosen row in ⌘T's list keeps its own shortcut at its end, as in Raycast.
Needs you
Mail's Needs you and the new tab's Now leave out cold sales sequences and automated mail.
A kept tab's minus
A kept tab's minus turns into its cross as the tab is put down.
Address over glass
The column's address blurs what shows through it over glass and drawings, so it stays readable.
Quieter new chat
A new chat shows nothing over its field when there is nothing useful to suggest.
Done from anywhere
A finished chat's Done ⌘↩ works from anywhere in the window, not only its field, unless you're typing somewhere else.
Chats keep their names
A chat keeps the name the agent gives it, and the Mac's own model names it in the question's language.
Comfortable gaps
Comfortable density keeps Yab's own gaps between pins and under the address, only the sizes take Arc's.
Settings' own notices
What you do in Settings is said in Settings, and the browser's own notices like "Link copied" stay in its windows.
Changed
Live Folders are opt-in
Live Folders are off until you turn them on in Settings › Live Folders. While off, a live folder in the column says Paused.
Code space
The Code space is gone. Agents' chats stay in the column.
Mail in Bypass
With Settings › Agents on Bypass, an agent sends the mail you asked for without the card. Ask and Auto still show it.
Looks live in Spaces
With spaces, each space's look is set on its page in Settings › Spaces; Appearance points there.
Fixed
Stuck pages
Stop and Reload work on a page stuck in its own script: Reload loads it again, Stop says "This page stopped responding" with Try Again.
Tabs on white glass
A tab on a white space's glass is lighter than the bar again, not pressed in darker.
Column over the page
The column brought out over the page wears its space's own Light or Dark, so a light space in a dark app keeps its folder names readable.
Look's dot in Dark
The look editor's dot shows the color you picked in a dark look too, so white no longer looks like black.
Pins while switching spaces
Pins stay in place while you switch spaces instead of jumping as the space lands.
Codes from mail
Codes from mail go into the right box, skip numbers from security notices, prefer the newest mail, and the suggestion goes as you start typing.
Bitwarden asleep
A passkey request waits for Bitwarden to wake up instead of failing when its worker was asleep.
Agent's question card
A long question on an agent's card fits the card and shows in full under the pointer.
Traffic lights
Pointing at the close, minimize or zoom button shows the marks on all three, every time.
Sidebar slides again
The sidebar (⌘S) and the agent's chat column slide with the page again instead of popping in and out.
Tabs across the top
No line before the first tab when nothing is kept, the tab's × matches the icons beside it, and an open folder's name is no longer cut off.
Site icons
Sites that check for bots first, like Dribbble, show their icon instead of a letter.
Bitwarden passkeys on GitHub
A Bitwarden passkey works on a page left open a while: GitHub's Continue with passkey waits for your pick instead of failing at once.
Mail's account chooser
Mail's account chooser opens again after switching spaces.
Mail's list
Mail's list closes up smoothly when an agent archives a mail.
Bookmarks bar switch
The bookmarks bar's switch in Settings brings the bar in and out smoothly, as ⌃⌘B does.
Sidebar over the look card
The sidebar brought out over the page stays out while the look card or a menu is open.
Agent's memory
The line under an agent's chat says what it remembers in words, not markdown.
Pages that stop answering
A page that hangs in front of you is caught within seconds and asks Wait or Reload (⌘R). Return no longer reloads it, so unsent text is safe.
What's new button
The column's What's new button reads clearly again instead of washed out.
Free, for macOS 15.4 or later.
