Yab 0.0.10
The sidebar on the right, floating video that moves as the system's, and websites kept off your local network.
Added
Sidebar on the right
Settings › Appearance › Sidebar puts the column on the Left, on the Right, or Off with tabs across the top. On the right, the window's buttons sit in a band of their own over the page, as in Zen.
Local network protection
Websites can't reach the apps on your Mac or the devices on your network without asking first, as in Chrome: Allow is kept for the site, in Site Controls. Your own local pages, links to them and sign-ins that come back to a local address work as before. A name that only resolves to a local address isn't covered.
The link under the pointer
The page's bottom left shows the address of the link under the pointer, and what a click does with the keys you hold: a new tab, Split View or a peek.
⌥-click a link opens beside
⌥-click a link to open it in Split View beside its page, as in Arc.
Codes from Texts
A code box offers the codes texted to you; while Yab can't read Messages yet, Fill Codes from Texts under the box says where to allow it.
Keys light up
Hold ⌘ and every shortcut it starts lights its ⌘; a shortcut pressed whole flashes where it is written.
Archive Below
Archive Below… in a chat's menu puts away every chat under it, except pinned and working ones.
Code, experimental
Settings › Experimental › Code: a space for your Claude Code and Codex chats in your projects, as Mail is for mail.
Glass window, experimental
Settings › Experimental › Glass window lets the desktop show through the window's frame, on macOS 26.
Improved
Floating video as the system's
Floating video moves, tucks into the screen's edge and slides along it as macOS's own does, comes back where you left it, goes to another display with two fingers or a flick, and on the way out is drawn back into its page.
Player beside the tabs
The sidebar's player has 15 seconds back and on beside play where the site has no skips of its own, and you can scrub in its open card.
Peeks as in Arc
A peek hangs just under the window's top, has its own Copy Link, shows a load bar while the page takes its time, and grows out of any link that opens one.
Back and forward by key
Back and forward by key show the page at once; a two-finger swipe still slides it in.
⌘W on the last tab
⌘W on the last tab closes it and leaves the field on the window's ground; ⇧⌘T brings the tab back.
Sign-ins last
Sign-ins last as long as the site says: YouTube no longer signs you out every week.
Every kept account
The sign-in list shows every account you kept, scrolling past six; a password step that names an account offers only it, and a filled password box offers nothing.
Phone and code boxes
A phone box on its own offers your numbers, and a code box is found by the words drawn over it.
Wide tables in chats
A wide table in a chat reads as cards: the date over the title, long cells as words, the rest in a quiet foot.
Screen sharing asks politely
A page can ask to share your screen only just after your click in its tab, and a tab behind that asks waits, its row saying wants your screen.
Done and not opened
An agent's tab shows a tick once its work is done, until you go to it.
Close a folder
The cross at a folder's end closes it, asking first while its task still works.
Settings open on General
Settings opens on General rather than the page you left.
Fixed
Extensions no longer spin
Extensions no longer loop on a closed page, which kept a core busy.
Player at the sidebar's edge
The player's open card is no longer cut by the sidebar's edge.
Brought-out sidebar leaves the page bright
The sidebar brought out over the page no longer dims it.
YouTube's home without the video's glow
The tab strip no longer keeps a video's glow on YouTube's home after you leave the video.
Mail without an address bar
Mail's list no longer has an address bar over it.
Copy for Agent in dark
Copy for Agent reads clearly in dark mode.
