Yab 0.0.16
Tabs that come out of their window, sites that never fall asleep, and page corners drawn once.
Added
Tabs out of windows
Drag a tab past its window's edge and a live picture of the page follows the pointer: let go to open it in a new window, or over another window's tabs to move it there, without the page reloading.
Sites kept awake
Settings › Tabs has "Always keep these sites awake", with WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, Discord, Gmail and music sites to start. A tab's menu adds or removes its site. They, and pinned and kept tabs in every space, sleep only when memory runs out, after every other tab.
Improved
Smart Zoom
Tapping twice with two fingers zooms into what's under them with WebKit's own animation, as in Safari, instead of jumping there in one frame.
Claude setup-token
A CLAUDE_CODE_OAUTH_TOKEN exported in your shell signs Claude in for tasks and Connect, and Settings › AI › Models says "Signed in with a setup token".
Memory running short
When macOS says memory is short, Yab keeps looking for tabs to put to sleep until it is back to normal, and a page stuck in a loop no longer holds it up.
iCloud Passwords says why
Its row in Settings › Extensions says it can't connect yet: Apple's helper runs only in browsers Apple has approved, the same approval passkeys wait on. Yab no longer starts the helper again and again.
Fixed
Middle click
A middle click on a link opens it in a new tab behind the page, right after it, as in Chrome and Arc. With ⇧ the tab opens in front.
Page corners
The page's rounded corners and the address bar's are each cut once on one curve, so dark and light pages no longer show an arc at their corners.
Video back in its player
After Back to Tab, a floating video sits in its player again even when the site left it at the whole page's size, and a video that came back no longer floats out on its own.
Back to the pin
Closing a link opened from a pin goes back to that pin again, as in Arc.
