Yab 0.0.17
Sites' own picture in picture, speed and subtitles on a floating video, and tabs across the top that answer where they are drawn.
Added
Sites' picture in picture
A site's own Picture-in-Picture button, as on X, opens Yab's floating window.
Speed and subtitles
A floating video has speed and subtitles buttons in its top row, each with a short menu: 0.5× to 2×, and the video's subtitle tracks.
Elements as Chrome's
Developer Tools' Elements shows the tree, Styles and the sidebar as Chrome does, with every rule in its order.
Improved
⌃Tab as Arc's
⌃Tab's grid takes pins and kept tabs whose page is up, shows a single tab too, and picks the tile under the pointer as you move.
New tab as Arc's
While ⌘T asks for a new tab, its row lights up in the column, as in Arc.
Speaker by the icon
A playing tab's speaker sits right after its icon in the column, as in Arc.
Hidden tabs come back at once
Tabs out of sight keep running, slowed, as in Chrome, so switching to one is quicker. Low Power Mode still stops them.
Memory
Yab no longer puts tabs to sleep when memory is only short, as Chrome does; only when it runs out.
Settings opens at once
Settings › General no longer waits on macOS for the default browser's name and icon, which took up to half a minute on some Macs.
Floating dialogs
Dialogs that float over the page use a more readable Liquid Glass.
Flat icon
The Flat app icon is drawn in layers, with its face in Liquid Glass.
Fixed
Tabs across the top
Tabs across the top get their hover card and close on a middle click from launch, in a scrolled strip and in a second window, where they were placed 40 points too high.
Signed in after a restart
Sites that keep you signed in with a session cookie, like YouTube's chosen account, stay that way after you quit Yab or update it.
Leaving a call on ⌘Q
Quitting during a call leaves the call for everyone else, and every closed tab's page says goodbye to its site.
Peek's top
A peek's panel stands as far from the window's top as the page does.
One space, no dot
With a single space there is no space dot, even with Mail or Code connected.
Settings' sidebar
Settings' sidebar shows no scroll bar when macOS is set to always show them.
