Reminders and send later

Put a mail off until it matters, get yours back if nobody answers, and send when it will be read.

⇧⌘H⇧⌘↩

Remind me#

H puts a thread off: it leaves the inbox for Later and comes back when you said. Choose Later today, Tomorrow morning, This weekend or Next week, Until Anna replies, or Before your meeting with Anna when there is one, or type a time, such as friday 10am or in 3 days.

Later says when each comes back: “Back Tue 9:00”. W brings one back now, and E on one marks it done, so it doesn’t come back at all.

If nobody answers#

Writing a reply or a new mail, press ⇧⌘H and choose when, In 3 days or any other time. The mail’s foot says it, “Remind me in 3 days if no reply”: click it to change it, or to choose Don’t Remind Me. On a thread where you wrote last, ⇧⌘H sets it on your mail at once.

If nobody has written by then, the thread comes back to Needs you, unread, saying “No reply · 3d”, and your new tab says who hasn’t answered. An answer from anyone ends the reminder, another mail of yours moves it on as far, and E ends it too.

Nudges#

While a thread waits on someone else, Claude writes one short follow-up in your voice, named Nudge, first among the replies ready under the thread. ⌘↩ sends it as it is. It comes with Settings › Mail › Write replies ahead.

Send later#

⇧⌘↩, in place of ⌘↩, asks when: Tomorrow morning, Tomorrow afternoon, Monday morning, or a time you type. The mail waits in Later, saying “Sends Fri”, and in Kept. Open it there and it’s a draft again, to change and send now or later.
