Translating a page

A page in another language, translated in place on your Mac.

Yab translates a page in place with Apple’s own translation, on your Mac: nothing is sent anywhere. It translates into your Mac’s first language.

  1. Show the address bar with ⇧⌘L, if it isn’t showing.
  2. Point at the site’s name and click the lock.
  3. Choose Translate to …. Show Original puts it back.

The first time, macOS may offer to download the languages. Text the page adds after translating stays as it was, and a new page starts in its own language.
