With nothing typed, the field shows what you’re likely to want, under a few headings:
- Now: a link you copied in another app a moment ago, a meeting starting within the hour (it turns into Join), a task your agent finished, a file that just downloaded. With Mail on, also mail that waits on you (“Priya is waiting on your reply”), someone who hasn’t answered you, a bill past due, and what a split archived today.
- Recent Tabs: the three you looked at last.
- Frequent: a page you open by hand about now most days, marked Usually now, then the sites you visit most that aren’t open.
- Quick Actions you keep.
The first row is chosen for you, often your last tab, so ⌘T ↩ takes it. On a row from Now, ⌫ marks it done and ⌥↩ puts it off.
How it knows#
From your calendar, if you allowed it, and from your history here and in the other browsers on this Mac. All of it is worked out on the Mac, with no model and nothing sent.
With an agent connected, you can also ask it to Keep an eye on things for me: mornings and after a break, it looks at what you use and brings what needs you here, as rows under Now. See Routines.
