Updates and feedback

Yab updates itself, quietly, and a note to the people who make it is one card away.

Updates#

Once a day Yab looks for a new version, downloads it, checks it is signed the same way as itself, and has it ready. It never restarts on its own: a card in the page’s corner says Restart to update when you are ready, and waits while you are on a call. Your tabs, settings and passwords come through untouched.

Settings › About shows the version, with Check Now. What changed in each one is on the changelog.

Send feedback#

  1. Choose Help › Send Feedback…, or Send feedback in Settings › About.
  2. Say whether something is broken, an idea, or that you love it, and write what happened.
  3. Attach up to five screenshots or files, add your email if you’d like a reply, and press ⌘↩.

It goes straight to the people who make Yab, with the version of Yab and macOS. Your draft waits until it is sent.

Quitting#

⌘Q asks first, and a second ⌘Q quits; your tabs are there when you come back. Tick Don’t ask again, or turn off Settings › General › Warn before quitting. On a call it always asks, and with an agent at work it offers to quit when the agent is done.
