Settings › AI › Models shows your plans at the top: your Claude and ChatGPT accounts, and This Mac, Apple’s own model, free and private, for short text (macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence). A ring beside each plan shows how much of it is used; click it for the details and when it resets.
Which model does what#
- Tasks: what you ask with ⌘J, ⌘T and the chat, and routines.
- Commands: commands on selected text your Mac’s model can’t do. A command can have its own.
- Form drafts: answers to a form’s questions, on Claude.
Claude’s models run on your Claude plan, GPT’s on your ChatGPT plan. Each has an effort, from Low to Max. Claude’s names always mean the newest release: Fable, Opus, Sonnet, Haiku.
In the chat, click the model under the title to switch; ↩ takes one and ← → change its effort. Models whose plan has run out are dimmed.
More than one account#
Add Account signs in another Claude or ChatGPT account, in a private tab. Tasks use the accounts top to bottom; Try First puts one on top.
When a plan runs out#
Before a task starts, Yab asks your plans how much room they have. A task starts on the first account with room, and if one runs out partway, the same conversation carries on with the next. When every Claude account is out and ChatGPT has room, or the other way round, the task goes on there, with the same chat and tabs, and one line says so: Claude is out of room until 10 PM. ChatGPT carries on.
